great news for indians student’s
Hello indians peopl now
lNDIA and RUSSIA develop EdTech Cooperation
According to Russian Ministry of Education and Science, the country is prioritising future cooperation with India on educational and digital programs. A new agreement in this field was signed during a recent trip to India.
Education technology is a growth market in India, with Google and KPMG estimating that the nation’s online education sector alone could be worth as much as US$1.96 billion by 2021.
The growth in India, and its intentions to use technology as an economic tool, makes technological cooperation with Moscow as one of the nation’s “priorities”.
Russia is the significant partner for India while it experiences technological transformation. It helps in two major fields: transfers of modern industrial technologies and education of highly qualified specialists offered by Russian top engineering universities. Institutions in Russia are well known for partnerships with Indian institutions and teaching the students from this country. Currently, there are near 10,000 Indian students here. Their main interest belongs to Medicine and various engineering programs (IT/Computer Sciences, Aerospace/Aircraft Eng, Power Engineering, Electronics, etc). Most of Indian students are studying at universities located in Moscow, the Russian Federation’s capital. Looking back to 2016 and 2017, we see that the number of Indian students in Russia constantly grow by approximately 10%.
So, it would not be the first time Russian and Indian HEIs have combined on technological progress. And it is also not the first time the Indian and Russian governments have discussed further cooperation in education.
As Indian PM Modi said, Russia is “India’s unwavering friend”.
We hope that new students from this (as well as from all other countries) will be able to feel it when arrived to Russia for university study. Next opportunity to do this is February intake for preparatory courses. It is 6 months long program offering adaptation in a new country, study of Russian language and core subjects. Prospective students of both English- and Russian-medium programs are welcome to consider admission to this program.
