I have grown to appreciate the sincerity in the cross- cultural awareness of this loving couple, who want to enlighten you about life in Serbia and Nigeria. What i really like is that they video how average , every day life and people are in their respective countries.

In my personal view, and on an intellectual level, what I value about this “interacial couple ” [ and this term is really a Western term of classification ] but they do not describe their ” interacial-ness” within the popular Youtube “black -white ” paradigm which is –he’s black , I’m white and my dad wants to kill him..blah-blah blah…on the contrary ; they passionately share their relationship with the world as a positive showcase of two unique cultures that have come together. of course , they probably receive negative commentary online or in reallife just walking down the street. I have befoer being in cross cultrual relationships. But what is magical is that they are strong enough NOT to write or vlog about the negative aspects of their relationship challenges–if they exist, and even if the did exist..it’s not worth sharing this with the world , it would only discourage other couples who are from different cultures from being together. Black & Ginger completely stand out from the other “cross -cultural relationship vloggers ” For example:
- They both strive to deeper understand each others culture. They have videos where they try each other’s national dishes, learn languages and even customs and clothes.
Another great example of how they both shatter stereotypes specifically that –the “partner’s ” culture can not be appreciated fully or even partially.
Salman and Leona have done a great job in less than a year! We must support them!
